Artist Hannah Berry marries the melodramatics of classical figure painting with the humor and playfulness of illustration in her paintings and prints. She is interested in the allegorical weight of the objects she's surrounded by and the environments she inhabits, and how their associations and meanings influence her relationship with nature, society and her body. Her work is focused around three central (and often intertwined) themes: the female experience, environmental concerns, and interrogating and adapting belief structures. She currently lives and works in Denver, CO.
